Write a Letter to Your Future Self (Using Gmail)

One of the most powerful things you can do for personal growth is to write a letter to your future self.

Not a motivational quote.
Not a tweet.
A real, honest letter.

The good news? You don’t need any paid tools.

How to do it (100% free)

1. Write a letter to yourself.
Talk about your goals, your fears, your promises, and what you must not forget.

2. Open Gmail and click Compose.

3. Paste the letter and address it to your own email.

4. Click the small arrow next to Send.

5. Select Schedule send.

6. Pick a future date — 6 months or 1 year ahead.

That’s it.

When that email arrives, you’ll read it as a different person.
And that moment can be motivating, humbling, or life-changing.

If you’ve never written to your future self, today is a good day to start.

This is my first blog post in 2026!
